COVID 19 has hit all of us hard in some way. At the River, we stand firm in God's promise that He is with us ALWAYS, and is near to anyone who calls on Him (Isaiah 40). As we prepare for our "new normal", you might be asking "what will worship services or fellowship times in person look like?" We can't give you all the answers yet, but we do want to share 5 things we will focus on as we try to to help keep everyone safe. Who We Are
The River Church, Providence is a G.R.O.Wing community of multi-ethnic believers in Jesus Christ who desire to learn more about God, and to show his love to others locally and globally. Now more than ever, in the midst of.a world filled with so much confusion and pain, we are excited to share that good news still exists...you can find real hope, peace and purpose in God's word...God still has a plan for your life, no matter where you've been--and its a powerful plan. Hi, I'm Pastor Herbert; my wife and I are currently serving here by God's grace and with the support of others. On behalf of everyone at the River, thanks for visiting our site! At the River, we embrace a vision to see God transform lives...as we G.R.O.W. In other words, we seek to deepen our knowledge and love for God through reading, studying and sharing His dynamic word - the Bible; we emphasize Relationships as a big part of who we are and we aim to make these stronger through regular fellowships, whether its praying together, encouraging each other or sharing a laugh over a meal. Outreach is a core part of our mandate and history-- through one on one evangelism, support of missions and community outreach. Finally, we Worship...worship meaning not just a single event, but through a lifestyle that strives to give God glory; this includes prayer, songs of praise, giving - and excellence in whatever we do in life.
Wherever you are right now, we want you to know that God loves YOU. He came so that you can have abundant life. Many of us have had many bumps and bruises along the road of life and we are very much "unfinished" (that goes for our church building too :) - God is still working on us, but His presence in our lives makes us stronger, wiser and better every day.
