In the words of its founder Pastor Brian Robinson, “The River Church, RI began in 2013 as a dream to bring to Rhode Island, a vision for a church that would be a true kingdom community—giving service to God and neighbor. Its mission was to be a “hybrid” – a church with two wings…a loving kingdom community sharing covenant with God and with one another--to be in mission with the Lord in our local community and also through international outreach. Since the Lord is a God of justice, we will strive to serve and give support to the poor , marginalized and disenfranchised locally and globally...we see our mission as "glocal." We aim to fulfill our mission through the foundation of prayer as we worship, give sacrificially and embrace true fellowship."

We remain a growing body of multi-ethnic believers, with Rev. Herbert Johnson as our pastor. We remain committed to coming together to learn more about Jesus Christ, and to show his love to others locally and globally. We believe this is a place “where LIFE grows” and we welcome you to grow with us...grow meaning an emphasis on...
